Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how long you've been part of the team?
A: I joined the team in 2022. I work full time as a Veterinary Technician at MADACC, but love being able to spend Mondays and Tuesdays with my Off Leash pups, cats, and bunny friends! Working in shelter medicine can be tough, and I look forward to the days of exploring nature trails and neighborhoods with animals that have loving homes.
Q: Share a memorable or heartwarming moment you've had with a clients pet.
A: The best moments for me are when I see the dogs waiting by the window, becoming excited as they anticipate my arrival. Witnessing their goofy happy faces and wagging tails is incredibly rewarding.
Q: Do you have a favorite pet or client story you'd like to share?
A: I truly have so many, I've formed such a strong connection with so many of the pets. If I shared all my favorite stories we’d be here a while!
Q: Besides working with animals, what are your hobbies or interests?
A: My world and work definitely does revolve around animals, but I do have a great love for plants and the arts. Even after a long day of work, I always make time to work on a painting or do some sort of home décor craft I found on YouTube. I also take great pleasure in caring for the over 40 plants in my small downtown apartment.
Q: Do you have any pets of your own? If so, tell us about them.
A: YES. I have a 4 pound Chihuahua named Spud who likes to act like he’s a 140 pound dog, a 12 year old Japanese Chin whose eyes go in different directions, a 14 year old cat who rips up my mail when her food bowl is less than half full, and a 13 year old Maine Coon cat whose fur ends up in all my clothes. I love them all so much, they're perfectly imperfect!
Q: Any favorite dog parks or pet friendly spots?
A: I really love the Forest Exploration Center in Wauwatosa. Whenever I'm there, it reminds me of the times I've spent camping and going on hikes in Wisconsin’s state parks (another interest of mine.)
Q: What's your go to tip for clients looking to provide the best care for their pet?
A: I think one of the best tips a pet parent can do is get your pet microchipped! I have seen so many animals reunited with their families because their owners had made this decision.
Q: How would you describe the teamwork and camaraderie among our pet care team? What do you appreciate about working with our company?
A: Our team excels in communication, offering support for any questions or concerns. Whenever I've faced challenges like navigating a tricky lockbox or door, reaching out to the team results in an immediate response. The mutual support within our group is remarkable, and it's reassuring to work for a company that values both its clients and staff.
