Lori Riegler - FFCP
Dog Adventurist & Owner
Lori Riegler is the founder and owner of Off Leash MKE, Milwaukee’s premier adventure club for dogs. With a background that spans the music industry, event planning, and healthcare, Lori brings a dynamic and innovative approach to pet care. Before launching Off Leash MKE in 2018, she owned an independent record label and worked in artist management and event production, experiences that sharpened her skills in business development, branding, and leadership.
Lori’s passion for animals took center stage when she moved to Milwaukee in 2008 and began volunteering at the Wisconsin Humane Society. Immersing herself in rescue work, she developed expertise in animal behavior, training, and advocacy—skills that now define Off Leash MKE’s specialized approach to pet care. She is a dedicated advocate for animal rescue, volunteering with Urban Cat Coalition and Friends of MADACC, and fostering numerous cats in need.
At Off Leash MKE, Lori leads a team that prioritizes enrichment, training, and adventure-based experiences for dogs, while also providing premium cat care services. She is committed to building strong relationships with Milwaukee’s pet community and continuously innovating ways to support both pets and their people.
Through her expertise, warmth, and unwavering advocacy, Lori has created a business that not only provides exceptional pet care but also contributes meaningfully to the rescue and rehabilitation of animals in Milwaukee and beyond.
Svea Kastens - FFCP
Team Lead
Svea has been a part of the Off Leash MKE team since 2020, She started as a pet sitter and dog walker and quickly worked her way up to lead the team. Svea is reliable, honest, and hardworking--she's the salt of the earth.
Before working with animals, Svea spent time with AmeriCorps & Habitat for Humanity, where she led and developed programs for young adults. She loves working with animals and feels lucky to have found a career that she's so passionate about.
In her spare time, Svea enjoys taking photos (you can check out her work on Instagram @mkedogwalks and bartending at Roman Coin on Brady Street.
Marsha Zay - CPDT-KA, FFCP
Day Manger
Marsha, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, became a part of Off Leash MKE in the winter of '23 as a dog walker and adventurist, backed by seven years of professional canine care experience. After relocating outside Milwaukee, we harnessed her invaluable skills in a remote role. Marsha now plays an important part in crafting content for the Unleashed Blog, maintaining client communications, and helping bring Lori's innovative ideas to life. Her adaptability and unwavering commitment continue to drive our team's success, proving that her talents extend far beyond the leash.
Kim Starr - FFCP
Feline Lead
Kim is a pet care professional with Off Leash Milwaukee who brings her dedication and knowledge to every pet care service she provides. With 10 years of experience in pet care with a focus on cat sitting & cat care.
Kim is a foster volunteer for Urban Cat Coalition when she’s not rescuing cats or can find her enjoying a trivia night in Bay View. Kim's great sense of humor also extends to the Off Leash pet chat group where she often shares funny pet stories and pictures - sure to put a smile on your face!

Maddie has been passionate about animals her whole life, inspired by her godmother’s cat rescue and childhood heroes like Steve Irwin. With experience in dog walking, daycare, and a background in Psychology and Conservation, she brings patience, care, and a healthy dose of humor to every pup she meets. Since joining Off Leash MKE in June 2024, Maddie has loved building bonds with every pet in her care. We’re so lucky to have such a fun and hardworking person on our team!
Crosbie Kowalski - FFCP
As a pet sitter and dog walker, Crosbie is well-versed in pet care and pet health. She is Fear Free Certified, First Aid & CPR Certified, and Fetch Finder approved. Her experience working at local pet daycares makes her an invaluable asset to our team. When not taking care of pets, Crosbie loves coaching soccer, and gymnastics or discovering new music by attending concerts all over the country. We are so lucky to have her on the Off Leash Milwaukee team!
Racheal Mitchell - FFCP
Racheal has an undeniable passion for pets and loves nothing more than seeing her furry friends happy and healthy. With years of experience under her belt and a true commitment to quality pet-sitting services, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and is always going above and beyond for her furry clients. In addition to her certifications and training, she also has an art degree which allows her to provide creative enrichment for dog walks and pet sits. Racheal is an avid traveler who loves to explore new places, so when she’s not pet sitting or dog walking, you can find her camping & hiking. Being a pet parent herself she understands your needs & concerns and is always available to answer any questions or concerns that pet parents might have about their pets' needs.
Taylor is an animal-lover who spent the majority of her life living amongst dogs and cats of various breeds and personalities. However, her start on the professional side of being an animal-enthusiast began when she attended training sessions with her own dog, Daisy. Now, she continues to apply what she has learned and pursue her passion of supporting animals through Off Leash MKE! Since joining the team in the fall of '23, she has received many rave reviews from the merry band of furry friends, and we couldn't be happier to have her on our team!
Siri has been an animal lover since she was a child. Born and raised in Milwaukee, she finds great importance in community and combines this with her love for animals. She spent summers at her grandparents’ ranches caring for and training all types of animals. As an adult, Siri continued to foster cats and dogs, some with behavioral concerns, from several animal shelters. Her primary passion for dogs developed when she adopted her first rescue dog in 2019 followed by a second in 2022. With both dogs being reactive, she combined her psychology degree and 10 years of behavioral expertise to focus on animal rehabilitation. This led to a newer purpose and drive to work with dogs. Siri enjoys using positive reinforcement and honing the skills necessary for a dog’s individual success. She is a competitive cellist and enjoys the healing properties music has with dogs - something she has experienced first hand with her own rescue. In her free time, Siri volunteers her skills to help the development of Milwaukee's first downtown dog park to continue bettering opportunities for dogs and the Milwaukee community as a whole.
Kathy joined our team this Spring. With over 9 years of volunteering experience at Madacc and a deep involvement in bird rescue, Kathy brings a wealth of compassion and dedication to our company. Not only does she walk dogs and lead Fido Fieldtrips at Madacc, but Kathy is also a proud parent to several rescue birds and a beloved 9 1/2-year-old Madacc rescue dog. Her passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing the best care make her a valuable addition to our team.
Louisa has been a huge animal lover ever since she could remember. She grew up with both cats and dogs, and loved getting to petsit for friends with different animals too! This included guinea pigs, birds, and even a hedgehog. She decided to take this love of animals and use it in a professional capacity once she got her very first dog of her own and had so much fun training him and learning how dog's minds work. When she's not hanging out with her own dog or running around with other people's dogs, she can be found reading, hiking, baking, or volunteering at Shelters. She is definitely an avid outdoorsman, as her degrees were both in Environmental Sciences. Thankfully, this love of the outdoors translates really well to hiking with dogs all day!
Marissa joined Off Leash MKE in September 2024, bringing her love for animals and adventurous spirit to the team. In addition to dog walking, she works as a nanny and has been dogsitting for years. She’s been passionate about animals for as long as she can remember—growing up with two dogs as her best friends, watching Animal Planet nonstop, and even making PowerPoints about dog breeds just for fun. When she’s not walking dogs, you’ll find Marissa traveling, going to concerts, or paddle boarding with her pup, Koda, an adventurous and sassy Aussiedoodle. She also has two playful cats, Mr. Big and Goose, who keep life entertaining. We’re so happy to have her on our team!
